The fall of odd, gossamer-like material from the sky has been reported many times, sometimes in association with UFOs, sometimes not. Its origin is mysterious, and because it comes from the sky, it has been labeled “angel hair.” The fall of such material is often considered to be a part of the UFO phenomenon, specifically a close encounter of the second kind, or a case that involves physical evidence or some interaction with the environment.
